The South Of The Border Ballroom Dancing experience is a project directed by Maura Logue and produced by Geraldine McGrath.
Funded by The Voice Of Older People, the 'show' will have the Ballytour Players will be there to spice up the ambiance and make this 'painting of nostalgia' a real treat for everyone.
... Maura also added that the event will be tainted with a touch of humour so be ready says Maura, to be asked to dance by the Brylcream boys with a glint in their eye, and watch out for the piercing eyes of the priest's housekeeper, and for the gentlemen there'll be girlins galore up for the asking!
Waltzes, the Fox Trot and other tunes reminiscent of the 1950s will be playing to complement the overall atmosphere and set out the nostalgia of the 'good'ol years'.
So if you're looking for a night of fun and if you want to set foot and join in the party for a big night of Jiggery Pokery, come on in! Tickets will be available at the door at the cost of 5€ only.
The project also benefits from the enthusiastic support of Martina O'Sullivan and the ladies will also help to coordinate a fundraising raffle for the Bluestack Foundation on the night. So go get your dancing shoes on and enter into the world of the Ballroom of Romance.
