Angling center at Lough Eske burgled, and a few people busted for minor drugs offences:
Gardai in Donegal Town are appealing for information in connection with a burglary at a store and angling centre at Lough Eske on Friday night. A pressure washer and sludge pump with a combined value of approximately €2,000 were taken from the premises sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning. ...Gardai in south Donegal reported a total of five seizures of substances believed to be cannabis over the weekend. The quantities involved are believed to have been for personal use. There were three detections in Bundoran and two in Donegal Town.

Jury sworn in for rape case in Donegal Town:
A jury has been sworn in at the Central Criminal Court for the trial of a Donegal man charged with attempted rape. The 25-year-old accused has pleaded not guilty to attempted rape in a van of a woman he met outside a disco in a Co Donegal town on October 1, 2006 and to sexually assaulting her on the same occasion.
