23 year old Daniel McGarrigle from Ballyshannon has been elected to succeed Andrew Valley from Tuam as President of the Student's Union.

The 22 year old woman who was killed near Ballybofey in the early hours of yesterday morning has been named as Teresa McDonagh with an address in Derry. She was a passenger in a Land Rover with her husband, Patrick along with three of the couple's four children.

A new state of the art €1million library for Donegal Town should be in place in the next 12 to 18 months. That's according to local councillor, Jonathan Kennedy who yesterday proposed that Donegal county council seek tenders for the project to go ahead, this was seconded by Clr Brendan Byrne.
