Fifteen new jobs are to be created in Donegal Town with news that a tool hire company is to expand it's operation to the area.Watsonhire provides hire equipment to the construction, DIY and industrial sectors in the North West.

Donegal the poorest county:

Donegal ranks as the poorest county in Ireland according to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office. The average disposible or after-tax income in the county stands at €16,008 which is more than €2,700 or 15% below the national average of €18,781.

17th Century shipwreak found off Buntonport:

A shipwreck which could date back to the 17th century has been discovered in waters off the coast of Burtonport. Large sections of the hull around the keel of the wreck are still intact.
